Speed Control Disengage (SCD) Switch Height

1. Adjust the brake pedal height. See 1993 BRAKES FORD MOTOR CO. DISC & DRUM article.
2. Measure the distance between the brake pedal stopper and the threaded end of the SCD switch. The SCD switch height should be 0.012-0.039 INCH (0.3-1.0 mm). See Fig 1 .
3. If the SCD switch height is not within specification, loosen the SCD switch locknut.
4. Adjust the SCD switch until the height is within specifications.
5. Tighten the SCD switch locknut to 9-11 INCH Lbs. (12-15 N. m).
