Idle Speed

  1. Turn off all accessories. Set automatic transmission lever to Park position, or manual transmission lever to Neutral position. Set parking brake. Connect tachometer to engine. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Connect a jumper wire between single-wire STI test connector and ground. See Fig 1 .

  2. Locate Idle Speed Control By-Pass Air (ISC-BPA) valve on throttle body. Remove cap, and adjust idle speed to 800-900 RPM by rotating idle air adjust screw on ISC-BPA valve. See Fig 2 . Remove jumper wire.
