System Triggering

The anti-theft alarm system is triggered and activated if the vehicle is entered without using the key, keyless entry keypad or keyless entry remote transmitter. If the anti-theft alarm system is triggered, for 2.5 minutes it will:

• Flash the exterior lamps
• Honk the horn
• Disable the starter motor circuit

After 2.5 minutes the exterior lamps and the horn will cease, but the starter motor circuit remains disabled. The anti-theft alarm (SECURITY) indicator turns off. The anti-theft alarm system will remain in this condition until the system is disarmed.
