Anti-Theft System: Description

When triggered, the anti-theft system horn sounds, headlights and taillights flash and starter is disabled. When armed, unauthorized entry is detected by the door ajar switches located in each door, a lock tamper detection switch in the liftgate lock cylinder, an engine compartment switch on left cowl vent panel, or the ignition lock cylinder tamper switch. An alarm indicator light is located on left side of instrument panel.

Anti-theft components include timer module, body side door control module, power door lock switches, door ajar switches, ignition lock cylinder tamper switch, anti-theft relay, horn relay, starter relay and remote keyless entry transmitter.

Models with an electronic door lock system have a PANIC feature that operates in conjunction with the anti-theft system and remote keyless entry system. When the PANIC button on the remote transmitter is pushed, the horns will sound and the exterior lights will flash.
