Oil Pressure Switch
- With ignition switch in OFF position, locate and disconnect oil pressure switch connector in oil filter adapter.
- Measure resistance between pressure switch terminal and ground. Resistance with engine off should be less than 5 ohms. Resistance with engine running should be greater than 10 k/ohms. If resistances not are correct, replace oil pressure switch. If resistances are correct, go to next step.
- With ignition switch in OFF position, disconnect instrument cluster connector C266. See Figure .
- Measure resistance of Red wire between instrument cluster connector C266, terminal No. 9 and oil pressure sender connector.
- Measure resistance of Red wire between instrument cluster connector C266, terminal No. 9 and ground.
- If resistance is less than 5 ohms between instrument cluster and oil pressure sensor, and greater than 10 k/ohms between instrument cluster and ground, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If noted resistances are not as shown, service Red wire.
