Anti-Theft Systems - Active: Description

When triggered, anti-theft system horn sounds, headlights and taillights flash, and starter is disabled. When armed, unauthorized entry is detected by door ajar switches located in each door, a lock tamper detection switch in liftgate lock cylinder, a hood switch on right front fenderwell, or ignition lock cylinder tamper switch. An anti-theft indicator is located on left side of instrument panel.

Anti-theft components include Smart Entry Control (SEC) timer/module, body side door control module, power door lock switches, door ajar switches, ignition lock cylinder tamper switch, anti-theft relay, horn relay, starter relay and remote keyless entry transmitter.

Models with remote keyless entry and electronic door lock system have a PANIC feature that operates in conjunction with anti-theft system and remote keyless entry system. When PANIC button on remote transmitter is pushed, horns will sound and exterior lights will flash.
