Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power seats.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following chart:

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Power seat switch
    • Seat track obstructed or damaged
    • Power seat motor assembly
    • Lumbar actuator cable
    • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse:
      • F20 (30A)
    • Central junction box (CJB) Fuse:
      • F53 (15A)
    • Circuit breaker 2
    • DSM
    • Power seat motor assembly
    • Memory set switch
    • Position sensor
    • Connectors or corroded connections
    • Wiring harness
  3. If the concern is not visually evident, proceed to Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.
