Rocker Arms - Inspection

  1. Inspect the rocker arm shafts for scratches or abnormal wear.
  2. Measure the rocker arm shaft diameter.
    • Verify that the diameter is within specification.

  3. Measure the rocker arm bore.
    1. Verify that the bore is within specification.

  4. Subtract the rocker arm bore measurement from the rocker arm shaft diameter measurement, this is the rocker arm to rocker arm shaft clearance.
    • Verify that the clearance is within specifications.
