Power Steering Control Valve Actuator: Removal
NOTE:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may result.
- Using a suitable suction device, siphon the power steering fluid from the power steering reservoir.
- Remove the 7 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.
- Using the Power Steering Belt Removal Tool, remove the power steering pump belt from the power steering pump pulley and position it aside.
- Install the Power Steering Belt Removal Tool between the power steering pump belt and pulley and turn the crankshaft bolt clockwise.
- Disconnect the power steering control valve actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 power steering pump bolts.
- Holding the power steering pump with a suitable holding device, loosen the bolt and remove the power steering control valve actuator.
