Engine Misfires
- Check condition of spark plug wires and for faulty spark plugs. Replace if necessary. Check condition of spark plug wires. Check distributor cap for moisture, cracks, or damage. Clean or replace as necessary.
- Inspect distributor cap and rotor terminals for erosion. Replace if necessary. Ensure that spark plug firing order is correct. Correct if necessary. Check base ignition timing. Adjust if necessary.
NOTE:
Whenever a high-tension wire is replaced or removed from spark plugs, coil or distributor, apply dielectric compound to inside of boot before connecting wire.
