CHAMP2 - Navigation System Road Map MOVE

INFORMATION

The Central Head Unit and Multimedia Platform (CHAMP2) with navigation function has begun replacing the Car Communication Computer (CCC) with navigation function. This change will affect the navigation system road map data support process and the warranty spare parts processes for CHAMP2.

For the US market, all vehicles will come from the factory preloaded with the latest navigation system road map database version that was available at the time of vehicle production. Therefore, there will be no physical copy of the navigation system road map data media DVD set placed in these vehicles at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC).

Additionally, all replacement CHAMP2 parts come with a preloaded version of the current available navigation system road map database installed.

IMPORTANT: The road map data cannot be installed directly from the DVD set into the CHAMP2 head unit since it does not have a DVD drive.

The road map data on the DVD set must be installed first into the Integrated Service Information Server (ISIS) and can then be installed onto the CHAMP2 head unit, using the Integrated Service Technical Application for Programming (ISTA/P).

For installation of the navigation system road map data media DVD set onto the ISIS, please contact your 3g Administrator and refer to the instructions available in Workshop Technology.
