SUBJECT

Convenience Opening Function Not Working

MODEL

R50 (Cooper), R52 (Convertible), R53 (Cooper S)

Vehicles from March 22, 2005.

SITUATION

When pressing and holding the remote key unlock button, the Convenience Open function for the windows and sunroof is inoperative.

CAUSE

The factory setting for this function was changed to "Not Active" on vehicles produced March 22, 2005 and later.

INFORMATION

At customer request, the function can be changed to "Active" in CKM (Car and Key Memory). For more information, refer to SI M09 01 02 .

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Covered under the terms of the MINI New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
