During repair work, there are some things that need to be taken into account when working with fiber optic cables. Any paintwork which requires the use of drying by heat, the temperature should not exceed 85°C. This could case deformation of the fiber optic cable resulting in excessive attenuation.
Extreme care should be taken around fiber optic cables. Any wiring harness that contain fiber optic cables should not be subjecting to stretching, pulling or any undue stress.
