Encoding/Programming IHKA: E60, E61, E63, E64: Encoding

When encoding vehicle-specific data, the following details (among others) must be taken into account:

Engine type (diesel or spark-ignition)
National version (e.g. EURO version, US, Japan or hot climate, left/right-hand drive)
Optional equipment (e.g. independent heater, IHKA High)
Control unit version (IHKA High or IHKA Basic) Programming The IHKA control unit can be flash programmed via the body CAN (body controller area network).
