Securing Engine In Installation Position

  1. Install Special Tool (51 2 160). See Fig 1.
  2. Reduce excess pressure in cooling system. Release screw (1). See Fig 2. Lay bracket for oxygen sensor to one side. Release screw (2). Release coolant line clamp (3).
  3. Screw Special Tool (11 8 260) onto cylinder head. See Fig 3. The water pipe is also secured to Special Tool (11 8 260) at the same time.
    4. CAUTION: Remove plug before fitting special tool. Risk of damage on both side walls.
  4. Assemble Special Tool (00 0 200) with Special Tools (00 0 201 / 00 0 202 / 00 0 205 / 00 0 207 / 00 0 209) and fit. See Fig 4.
  5. Assemble to engine.
