Install clutch

CAUTION: Materials harmful to health.

Note and follow safety instructions on containers.
Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Handle clutch disc carefully and install surfaces of the clutch disc in the correct orientation.
Clean friction surfaces of the flywheel and the pressure plate with BMW-approved brake cleaner.
Note designation for "engine side"/"transmission side"!

Center the clutch disc (1) with special tool 2 358 471.

Attach the clutch (2) to the flywheel together with the special tool.
Fix the clutch (2) with the dowel pins (1).

Replace the bolts (arrows).
Parts: Screws

Install and tighten screws (arrows).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Clutch to flywheel
M8 Replace screws.	Joining torque	15 Nm
	Angle of rotation	90°

Loosen the spindle (2) until the diaphragm spring (1) is completely relieved of pressure.

Release the knurled screw (1) and remove the special tool 0 493 839 (21 2 170) with 2 288 165 from the clutch.

Replace the bolts (arrows).

Tighten screws (arrows).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

M8 Replace screws.	Joining torque	15 Nm
