Installing left output shaft
- Lever out the O-ring (1).
- Replace O-ring (1).

- Insert O-ring (1).
- Replace the circlip (arrow).

- Insert the output shaft (1) in arrow direction in the transmission.
- Slide the output shaft (1) up to the stop in the transmission.
The output shaft (1) must snap-in audibly.
- Check for secure seat by levering.
- Turn steering wheel to left.
- Insert the output shaft (1) from the front into the swivel bearing.
- Note the installation position of the compression spring (2) on the collar screw (1).
- Keep the collar screw (1) and the front gearing of the wheel bearing and the output shaft clean and free of grease.
- Replace the collar screw (1) and the compression spring.
Parts: Collar screw, compression spring
- Hand-tighten the collar screw (1) and the compression spring.
- Install the front gearing of wheel bearing (1) and the output shaft (2) to establish a positive connection (tooth-in-tooth position).
- Twist the wheel hub and output shaft in opposite direction to check whether the front gearing teeth mesh. Tighten the threaded connection when positive locking is ensured.TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Output shaft to wheel bearing M16
Replace the collar screw.Joining torque 210 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - If necessary, connect the protective cap (1) in arrow direction.
