Rear Brake Control System Quick Check
- With vehicle stationary, operate engine for at least 5 seconds. Turn the ignition key to "LOCK" position and step on the brake pedal. Turn the ignition key to "ON" position and confirm the a clicking sound of the operating modulator.
- Raise rear of vehicle, support on stands, and block front wheels. Warm up engine and place transmission in second gear. Accelerate to a steady 19 MPH.
- With acclerator held at 19 MPH, step on the brake pedal suddenly. The brakes should attempt to slow the rotation of the rear wheels, then, because fluid is cut-off, the wheels should resume normal rotation.
