I. MODIFICATION PROCEDURE - ECI CHECKER

  1. Place the ECI Checker on a bench. Identity the connector with 13 male pins in a female body.
  2. Slide back the protective loom on the harness to reveal a jumper wire connecting pins #2 and #10.
NOTE: Pins #2 and #10 can be identified by numbers molded into the plastic body of the connector, and the two cavities are the only ones with two wires leading into them.
  3. Cut the jumper wire in the middle, strip the insulation from the cut ends, and crimp on the two female blade-type terminals.
  4. Install the 1O-Amp fuse on the two terminals.
  5. Pull the protective loom back into place, leaving the fuse showing. Fasten the loom securely with a wire tie.
