Air Cleaner - Thermostatic: Description
All carbureted models are equipped with a Thermostatic Air Cleaner. The air cleaner is equipped with an air control valve (inside snorkel) which allows either heated exhaust shroud air or cooler ambient air into carburetor, depending upon valve position. A vacuum motor which responds to a bi-metallic temperature sensor system (located inside air cleaner housing) controls the valve position.
