Coolant Temperature Gauge: Notes
- Disconnect wiring connector at temperature sending unit. Attach ohmmeter leads to connector terminals. Resistance should be 26.4 ohms. If resistance is not to specifications, remove instrument cluster.
- Attach ohmmeter leads across temperature gauge terminals on back of instrument cluster. SeeFigure . Resistance should be 42 ohms. If gauge resistance value is low, check for shorted temperature gauge coil. If resistance is high, check for open wire to gauge coil.
