Ignition Switch-St (M/T): Operation
- The ignition switch-ST inputs high-level signals to the engine control unit during engine cranking. The engine control unit, based on those signals, regulates fuel injection during starting, etc.
- When the ignition switch is set to START, the battery voltage during engine cranking is, by way of the ignition switch, applied to the engine control unit, and the engine control unit thus detects the fact that the engine is cranking. See Fig 1
