Wheel Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Install speed sensor bracket if removed. Sensor mounting brackets are not interchangeable from side-to-side. Each bracket is stamped with an "FR" indicating front bracket, and an "R" or "L" to indicate right or left.
  2. Temporarily install speed sensor. Route speed sensor wiring harness in its original location, and ensure no twist exists in harness. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.


  1. Install sensor bracket if removed. Sensor mounting brackets are not interchangeable from side-to-side. Each bracket is stamped with an "R" or "L" to indicate right or left.
  2. Temporarily install speed sensor. Route speed sensor wiring harness in its original location, and ensure no twist exists in harness. Ensure sensor harness is not in contact with trailing arm. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
