Test No. 3
- Check if right front power window operates when using right front switch. If power window operates, go to step 3). If power window does not operate, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, select data list item No. 78 (power window lock switch). Refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions. Also, see MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEM article. If OFF is displayed on scan tool when power window lock switch is in OFF position, check and repair circuit between door module and affected power window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If OFF is not displayed on scan tool, replace door module.
- Disconnect right front power window switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Set power window lock switch in UNLOCK position. Check voltage between ground and right front switch harness-side connector terminal No. 1 (Green/Orange wire). If battery voltage is present, go to step 5). If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Check connector to assist-ECU, connector between right front door and dash, and connector to right front door power window switch. Repair if necessary. If connectors are okay, check circuit between assist-ECU and right front door power window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. Repair if necessary. If circuit is okay, replace assist-ECU.
- Disconnect right front power window switch. Check voltage between ground and switch harness-side connector terminal No. 10 (Blue wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check connectors and circuit between power window relay and right front power window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair if necessary.
- Check continuity between ground and right front power window switch harness-side connector terminal No. 7 (Black wire). Continuity should be present. If continuity is not present, go to next step.
- Check connector between right front switch and connector between right front door harness and dash. Repair if necessary. If connectors are okay, check circuit between right front power window switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check right side power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace as necessary. If motor is okay, check connectors to right front power window switch and motor. If connectors are okay, check circuit between right front power window switch and motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair if necessary. If circuits are okay, replace right front power window switch.
