System Tests: Notes
NOTE:
If anti-theft system is not functioning properly after testing procedures are complete, substitute with a known-good ETACS-ECU and repeat test. ETACS-ECU is mounted behind fuse/relay block, located behind left kick panel. If symptom or problem goes away, replace original ETACS-ECU. Use of MUT-II Scan Tool (MB991502) or a voltmeter can be used to check system input. See INPUT TEST

CAUTION:
Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position when connecting or disconnecting component connectors. When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
