Camber Adjustment: Montero

NOTE: Camber and caster are adjusted on Montero simultaneously.
  1. Check front camber and caster. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (MONTERO)  table. Left and right readings must agree within .5 degrees of each other.
  2. Compare camber and caster differences from standard value. See Fig 3. Locate deviation for caster (solid line on chart) and intersect with deviation for camber (broken line). Vertical axis is number of graduations and direction of front adjusting cam. Horizontal axis is number of graduation and direction of rear adjusting cam. See Fig 1. After adjusting camber and caster, adjust toe.
  3. Check rear camber. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (MONTERO)  table. Left and right readings must agree within .5 degrees of each other. Adjust camber by turning camber adjusting bolt. See Fig 2. Turn clockwise to decrease camber, turn counter clockwise to increase camber. After adjusting camber, adjust toe.
