Engine Control Relay
NOTE:
Engine control relay can also be referred to as the Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) relay.
Disconnect engine control relay. Engine control relay is located under center of dash, in front of center console. See Fig 1. Using DVOM check continuity between engine control relay terminals No. 2 and 4. See Fig 2. Continuity should exist. Check continuity between engine control relay terminals No. 1 and 3 with battery voltage applied to relay terminal No. 4 and body ground to terminal No. 2. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist as specified, replace relay.
