NOTE:
Test should be completed within 20 seconds after accelerator pedal is pressed. If testing takes longer than 20 seconds, TCS function will cease and engine speed will increase.
- Turn TCS switch to On position.
- Place front wheels on speedometer tester or chassis dynamometer and start engine.
- Place transmission in Drive.
- Check to be sure that engine speed is restrained when accelerator pedal is depressed.
- During testing TCS ECU will output a "request torque: 0" signal to engine PCM for 3 seconds while actuator test is being carried out, and TCS OFF indicator will illuminate storing DTC in memory. After rest is completed, erase DTC from memory. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
