Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APS) Check

Disconnect the APS connector.
Measure the resistance between terminals (1) and (4) of the APS connector.
Standard value: 3.5-6.5 kohm
When the accelerator pedal is gradually depressed, check that the resistance between terminals (1) and (2) of the APS connector changes smoothly in proportion to the pedal opening amount.
If the resistance is outside the standard value, or if the resistance does not change smoothly, replace the APS. Adjust the APS after it has been replaced.
