Stoplight Switch Check

Check for continuity between the terminals of the switch.

CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS

Measurement condition	Terminal connector of tester	Specified condition
When brake pedal is depressed.	1-2 (for stoplight switch)	Continuity (less than 2 ohms)
When brake pedal is depressed.	3-4 (for brake switch)	Open circuit
When brake pedal is not depressed.	1-2 (for stoplight switch)	Open circuit
When brake pedal is not depressed.	3-4 (for brake switch)	Continuity (less than 2 ohms)
