TIMING CHAIN MAINTENANCE LEARNED VALUE RESET
2008 & later Outlander 2.4L, 2008 & later Lancer-based models, 2011 Outlander Sport . After diagnosing and performing repairs for DTCs P0012, P0016, and P0017, the timing chain maintenance learned value must be reset. To complete this procedure, perform the following steps using MUT-III:
- From the MUT-III main page, choose "System Select."
- From the "System List" choose "MFI."
- From the "MFI" menu, choose "Special Function."
- From the "Special Function" menu chose "Timing Chain Maintenance" (see below).
- Select "Learned value Read and Save."
- A "No learned value" message will display. This indicates a successful reset procedure. It will be continue to display on MUT-III until 20 drive cycles are completed.
