Shift Lock Mechanism Check
- Carry out the following check.
Inspection procedure Inspection conditions Items to be checked (Normal conditions) 1 Electric motor switch position: ACC Brake pedal: Depressed The selector lever can be moved from P position to other positions smoothly. 2 Brake pedal: Not depressed The selector lever cannot be moved out of P position. - When there is a problem with above operation, remove and reassemble the shift lock cable (selector lever side). (Refer to KEY INTERLOCK AND SHIFT LOCK MECHANISM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- After the assembly, perform the operation check again. If there is a problem, replace the shift lock cable. (Refer to KEY INTERLOCK AND SHIFT LOCK MECHANISM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
