How To Shift Lock Forced Release
If the shift lever cannot be moved from the P position due to discharged battery or similar reasons, release the shift lock by observing the procedure below.
- Turn the ignition switch to the position other than the LOCK (OFF) position.
- Remove the shift lock forced release switch cover shown in the figure below. While pressing the shift lock forced release switch with a screwdriver or a similar tool, move the selector lever.
