Cylinder Head And Valves: Inspection: Valve

If the valve face-to-seat contact is uneven or interrupted, correct the valve seat.
Measure the valve head margin. If the measured value exceeds the limit, replace with a new valve.
Standard value:

Inlet 0.85 mm (0.033 inch)

Exhaust 1.50 mm (0.059 inch)

Limit:

Inlet 0.70 mm (0.028 inch)

Exhaust 1.35 mm (0.053 inch)

Measure the valve overall length. If the measured value exceeds the limit, replace with a new valve.
Standard value:

Inlet 87.21 mm (3.433 inches)

Exhaust 88.54 mm (3.486 inches)

Limit:

Inlet 86.71 mm (3.414 inches)

Exhaust 88.04 mm (3.466 inches)
