CAUTION: During diagnosis, a DTC associated with other system may be set when the ignition switch is turned on with connector(s) disconnected. On completion, confirm all systems for DTC(s). If DTC(s) are set, erase them all.

Scan tool MB991958 cannot communicate with the electronic control AWD system. 1 
Shifting the drive mode selector does not change the mode 2 
The tight corner braking phenomenon(1) appears with the drive mode selector in the AWD ECO or AWD AUTO position.
NOTE: The vehicle is tuned so that the tight corner braking phenomenon appears at a certain level with the drive mode selector in the LOCK position.

No DTC is set even when the AWD/LOCK indicator lights flash. 4 
(1) Tight corner braking phenomenon: When a AWD vehicle makes sharp cornering in a paved road at low speed (ex. parallel parking), there is a difference in turning radius between front and rear wheels. If such a difference can no longer be compensated by tire slippage, the vehicle behaves as if it is under braking.
