How To Check The Functions

Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to execute the automatic high beam system operation check on the special function menu.

NOTE: The headlights may not be switched between high and low beams when it is dark around the vehicle.

Connect the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Follow "Check that the automatic high beam system is activated" (Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE ) to switch on the system (the automatic high beam system operation indicator (green) illuminates).
Operate the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) as below:
1. Select "FCM/LDW/AHB" on the system selection screen.
2. Select "Special function."
3. Select "Test."
4. Select "AHB operation check mode" and wait for ten seconds.
Cover the lens on the camera entirely with a lightproof shield.
OK: The headlights are switched into high beam.
Uncover it.
OK: The headlights are switched into low beam.
