Service Plug Removal Steps Check Sheet

Steps	Contents	Precautions
1	Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.	-
2	Disconnect the negative terminal of the 12V starter battery.	WARNING: To avoid causing any trouble to the electric motor unit components, do not disconnect the 12Vstarter battery negative terminal for two minutes after turning off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch. The voltage of the smoothing condenser in the FEMCU and REMCU must be decreased thoroughly. Therefore, do not remove the service plug for 5 minutes after the negative terminal of the 12V starter battery is disconnected.
3	Remove the main drive lithium-ion battery maintenance lid.	-
4	Remove the service lid mounting nut, and then remove the service lid.	-
5	Raise and pull the service plug lever.	WARNING: Wear the electric insulation gloves when removing the service plug. Do not lift the lever of service plug by halve. It is dangerous because the current is supplied during the lifting operation. Be sure to remove the service plug all at once. After removing the service plug, insulate the plug installed part of the main drive lithium-ion battery securely. WARNING: The voltage of the smooth condenser in the FEMCU and REMCU must be decreased thoroughly. Therefore, do not remove the service plug for 5 minutes after the negative terminal of the auxiliary battery is disconnected. CAUTION: When installing the service plug, pull the lever down until it clicks. The interlock switch does not operate unless the lever is pulled down properly.
6	Remove the service plug.
7	When removing and installing the high voltage components, be sure to conduct inspection in advance.	WARNING: During inspection, wear the electric insulation gloves.
