How To Read And Erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Required Special Tools:

MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long

NOTE: If the battery voltage is low, DTCs will not be set. Check the battery if scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) does not display.

Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to the data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
Select "STV".
Select an appropriate item from "System List," and press the "OK" button.
Select "Diagnostic Trouble Code" to read the DTC.
If a DTC is set, it is shown.
Choose "Erase DTCs" to erase the DTC.
