Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor

  1. Connect ohmmeter across pins 23 and 26 in control unit connector. With air temperature below 68°F (20°C), resistance should be 2100 or more ohms. With air temperature above 68°F (20°C), resistance should be below 2900 ohms.
  2. If resistance is not correct, remove sensor from head. Dip end of sensor into water. Heat water and observe resistance across terminals. Resistance should be the same as listed in step 1). If not, repair harness or replace sensor.
