Control Unit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness connector from starter motor terminal "S". Disconnect 8 pin connector from injection pump control unit. Connect a test light between the M+ and M- terminals of injection pump control unit. See Figure .
- To test engine stop control, turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Disconnect harness connector from oil pressure switch. Connect a jumper wire between terminals "S" and "C". Test lamp should come on and go off in 10-20 seconds.
- To test drive position control, disconnect harness connector from oil pressure switch. Connect jumper between terminals "D" and "C". Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Test lamp should come on and go off in 10-20 seconds.
- To test fuel excess control, disconnect harness connector from oil pressure switch, ground the oil pressure switch and connect jumper to terminals "O" and "C". Turn ignition switch to "START" position. Test lamp should come on and go off in 10-20 seconds.
- To test anti-reverse rotation function, disconnect harness connector from oil pressure switch, ground oil pressure switch and connect jumper between terminals "S" and "C". Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Test lamp should come on and go off in 10-20 seconds.
