SERVICE PROCEDURE

This bulletin contains radio identification information for the 1987 Nissan Sentra. Use this bulletin to identify the component manufacturer and model number when ordering an exchange unit under the Direct Dealer/Manufacturer Radio Warranty Exchange Program.

SERVICE PROCEDURES

The 1987 Sentra audio components are supplied by two (2) radio manufacturers. When ordering an exchange unit, it is important to properly identify the manufacturer and model number of the incident unit. This will ensure that the exchange unit shipped from the radio manufacturer will be the same brand and model as the incident unit.

Most audio components are marked with a code number that is visible without removing the unit from the vehicles. Locate the code number on the identification table to identify the manufacturer and model number of the incident unit.

NOTE: The first digit of the code number identifies the manufacturer as shown below:

C = Clarion

H = Hitachi

P = Panasonic

NOTE: All radio cores must be returned to the manufacturer immediately after removal from customers vehicle.
