Fuel Tank Sending Unit Test
- Remove sending unit from fuel tank. On all models ecxept 300ZX, measure resistance between terminals "G" (+) and "E" (-) of sending unit connector. On 300ZX models with a sub fuel gauge, measure resistance across sending unit terminals No. 1 and 2 for main fuel tank gauge and terminals No. 1 and No. 3 for sub fuel tank gauge. See Fig 1.
- Resistance values should change as position of fuel gauge is changed. Resistance values should be about equal to those on the FUEL TANK SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE (OHMS) table.
