Maxima (VG30E)

Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Run engine at 2000 RPM for 2 minutes. Perform self-diagnostics. See appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
With ignition timing correctly set, check idle speed (automatic transaxle in Neutral). See V6 IDLE SPEED & CO% LEVEL table. If idle speed is incorrect, close Auxiliary Air Control (AAC) valve by turning diagnostic mode selector screw on ECM fully clockwise.
Adjust idle speed by turning idle speed adjusting screw. See Fig 1 . Open AAC valve by turning diagnostic mode selector screw on ECM fully counterclockwise. Idle speed should remain within specified range.
