Cooling System Bleeding

NOTE: 1.6L uses 2 air relief plugs. 2.0L uses an air bleeder cap on heater hose pipe in addition to 1 air relief plug.

Before filling cooling system, ensure heater valve is open to allow coolant flow through heater core. See OPENING HEATER VALVE table. When filling cooling system, ensure air relief plug/cap is loose to allow trapped air to exit system. See Fig 1 -Fig 4 . Tighten air relief plug/cap after filling cooling system.
