Power Window Automatic Switch Check
NOTE:
If scan tool is not available, begin testing at step 2
.
- Using scan tool, select P/W SW DR AUT parameter in DATA MONITOR mode. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . P/W SW DR AUT parameter on scan tool display should change from ON to OFF when completely pushing in or pulling out driver's power window switch. If scan tool display is as specified, go to step 3 . If scan tool display is not as specified, replace LCU 01.
- Check automatic operation of driver's power window switch using on-board diagnostics Mode II (switch signal monitor). See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . If input signal is detected, go to step 4 . If input signal is not detected, replace LCU 01.
- Select P/W LOCK SIG parameter in DATA MONITOR mode. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . Operate driver's power window. P/W LOCK SIG parameter on scan tool display should change from ON to OFF as window is moving. If scan tool display is as specified, recheck system. If scan tool display is not as specified, replace LCU 01.
- Perform on-board diagnostics Mode IV (power window monitor). See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . If self-diagnostic indicator lights (dome and step lights) illuminate as window is moving, recheck system. If self-diagnostic indicator lights do not illuminate as window is moving, replace LCU 01.
