C/U Initialization

NOTE: Programming of NATS keys is necessary when ignition key, IMMU or ECM are replaced.

Nissan CONSULT scan tool must be used to register (program) additional keys, replacement IMMU and/or replacement ECM. See CONSULT operation manual IVIS/NVIS for C/U initialization procedure. It will be necessary to re-register original keys when any initialization is performed. The engine cannot be started with an unregistered key. If this occurs, CONSULT scan tool will display DIFFERENCE OF KEY or LOCK MODE as a self-diagnostic fault.
