Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) prevents wheel lock-up, allowing driver to maintain steering control during heavy braking. ABS consists of a control unit (includes actuator, relays and electronic control unit), ANTI-LOCK warning light, wheel sensors, wiring and hydraulic lines. See Fig 1 .
