ASCD Hold Relay Check: Sentra
- Remove ASCD hold relay. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (M/T), or No. 7 (A/T) at ASCD hold relay harness connector. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check fuses and replace if necessary. If fuses are okay, check for open or short in wiring harness between fuse and ASCD hold relay. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check brake cancel switch if equipped with A/T. See BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, check for continuity between ground and terminal No. 2 at ASCD hold relay harness connector. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open ground circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Check cruise control main switch. See CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace if necessary. If switch is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, check for continuity between specified terminals at ASCD hold relay harness connector. See ASCD HOLD RELAY CIRCUIT TEST table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If continuity is as specified, check ASCD hold relay. See RELAYS under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace if necessary. If continuity is not as specified, repair open or short in wiring harness as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
