Remote Keyless Entry System
Power is supplied at all times to Body Control Module (BCM) terminal No. 7 through 50-amp fusible link letter "F", located in the fuse and fusible link box and to combination meter terminal No. 5 through 10-amp fuse No. 19, located in the fuse block (J/B).
Ground is supplied to BCM terminals No. 8, 27, and 63, through body grounds M57, M61 (both behind left side of instrument panel), E15 (located underhood on front of left front fender) and E24 (located underhood in center of firewall) and to combination meter terminals No. 6 and 39 through body grounds M57 and M61.
When the remote keyless entry system is triggered by input from the keyfob, the BCM supplies power to front left turn signal lamp terminal No. 3, to right front turn signal lamp terminal No. 3, to left rear turn signal lamp (part of the left rear combination lamp) terminal No. 3 and to right rear turn signal lamp (part of the right rear combination lamp) terminal No. 3.
Ground is supplied to the left front turn signal lamp terminal No. 2, through body grounds E15 (located underhood on front of left front fender) and E24 (located underhood in center of firewall), to the right front turn signal lamp terminal No. 2 through body grounds E115 (located on front right front fender) and E129 (located on firewall), to the left rear turn signal lamp (part of the rear combination lamp) terminal No. 5, through body grounds B7 (located on center pillar) and B19 (located behind left side of seat back) to the right rear turn signal lamp (part of the rear combination lamp) terminal No. 5 through body grounds B7 and B19.
The BCM also supplies input to combination meter terminals No. 1 and 2 across the CAN communication lines. This input is processed by the central processing unit of the combination meter, which in turn supplies ground to the left and right turn signal indicator lamps.
With power and ground supplied, the BCM controls the flashing of the hazard warning lamps when keyfob is used to activate the remote keyless entry system.
