DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Wait at least 10 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, go to next step.
  2. Read COOLAN TEMP/S value. If COOLAN TEMP/S is more than 140°F (60°C), allow engine to cool until COOLAN TEMP/S is less than 140°F (60°C).
  3. Wait at least 10 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
